Hello everyone who has come across this little slice of the internet. It has been nearly 6 years since I’ve posted anything here. And boy, things have happened!
I’ve move across the country. I obtained a couple new certifications and let a couple lapse. Had been promoted to offensive security consultant which was, honestly, astonishing considering my skill set at the time. Dealt with severe burnout. The company I worked for was acquired only for a majority of professionals, my professional family, to be let go. Then I was let go.
Now, dealing with the job market in the age of AI. Don’t worry, there will be rants but let’s talk about now.
My original goal for this blog was to show that I was “serious” about cybersecurity to HR and recruiters despite already having a Computer Science degree, industry certifications and work experience. I guess some people just need a helping hand but I digress. The new goal for the blog is simply to say what is on my mind. Talking cybersecurity, tools, CTF frustrations, exam prep, general advice, AI hype, post quantum cryptography, continuing education and more.
The writing won’t always be polished. It certainly won’t be AI generated. But it will be honest and anything written do not represent anyone else’s stance on topics except mine.
I’m aiming to post weekly at a minimum. Take care out there and see you around.
